Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area | Archaeology Day

October is California Archaeology Month, and Santa Monica Mountains is celebrating with their 4th annual Archaeology Day. Dig up “artifacts” in the hands-on dig box, throw a spear using an atlatl, watch flintknapping demonstrations, and see genuine local artifacts on display. Enjoy presentations by local archaeologists throughout the day.

 

This is a free event with free parking.
