Dr. Gary Somers, former superintendent of Nez Perce National Historical Park, delves into the history of the Nez Perce War, which lasted for almost four months in 1877. Learn more about the history and culture of the Nez Perce, who refer to themselves as Nimiipuu, and how their relationship with the US Government and military went from friendly to combative beginning in the 1870s.
