Saturday, March 23
12 PM only

Field biologist Ariana La Porte has been piloting a study on the diet and home range of gray hawks along a groundwater gradient in the San Pedro River Valley to assess how over-pumping the river may impact this top predator. The goal of her study is to illuminate the effect of groundwater on the riparian food web. Their position as an apex predator makes gray hawks an ideal study species. Join us as we hear an update on Ariana’s fascinating research with Sabo Lab at Arizona State University.

To request a reservation, please call 520-622-6014 during business hours beginning one week prior to the event.
