Learn how early European settlers in the US relied on a blend of native and introduced plants.
Wednesday, March 27
12 PM & 2 PM
When founding missions in the US, European newcomers relied on many of the plants they were familiar with, but also on native plants that would feed them and help make life easier. Local author Dr. Jacqueline Soule will discuss this blend of native and introduced plants, focusing on the plants that can be easily grown in southern Arizona.
