Full-time/year round Sales & Information Associate: Full-time/year round Sales & Information Associate
Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Chinle, AZ.

Western National Parks Association (WNPA) seeks a full-time/year round Sales & Information Associate to assist with the operation of the park store at the Canyon de Chelly visitor center in Chinle, AZ. Our new associate will uphold WNPA’s mission of creating advocates for national parks and will assist with blending a traditional retail experience with relevant park stories, emphasizing visitor education through a retail experience. Responsibilities will include performing a variety of clerical and customer service related tasks associated with the stocking, merchandising and sale of products within the retail shop at the visitor center. S/he will interact with customers and visitors to answer general inquiries about the park, the region or specific products. Required qualifications include a HS diploma or GED; accuracy with POS cash register; previous retail experience preferred; honest, dependable, helpful personality; ability to lift/pull up to 50 lbs. Compensation: $9/hour, plus full benefits package, including medical/dental/life/LTD and generous retirement plan with employer match. Schedule: 40 hrs/week. Park Store Manager I: Part-time Park Store Manager I
Capulin Volcano National Monument, Capulin, NM.

Western National Parks Association (WNPA) seeks a Park Store Manager I to lead and supervise the operation of our park store at Capulin Volcano, NM. Our new manager will uphold WNPA’s mission to create advocates for national parks and will require an innovative approach to blending a traditional retail experience with relevant park stories, emphasizing visitor education through a retail experience. Responsibilities will include driving sales; planning for, ordering, stocking and displaying merchandise; performing banking functions and financial reporting; collaborating with National Park Service personnel to develop and implement marketing and outreach activities; building and maintaining effective professional relationships; and achieving a high level of customer service and satisfaction. Required qualifications include a HS diploma or GED; prefer experience managing a successful retail store, driving business growth, with proven ability to manage a budget; ability to pass NPS background check to obtain clearance necessary to use federal data networks; current driver’s license and proof of auto insurance coverage; ability to lift/pull up to 50 lbs.; must be helpful, dependable and personable. Compensation: $11.00/hour, plus retirement plan benefit with generous employer match. Schedule is 32 hours/week, year round. Western National Parks Association (WNPA) seeks a Park Store Manager III to lead and supervise the WNPA retail operation at Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument. The Park Store Manager will supervise a team to support the blending of a traditional retail experience with relevant park stories, emphasizing visitor education through a retail experience. Responsibilities will include managing the day-to-day operation of our store; driving sales; planning, stocking and displaying merchandise; building, leading and mentoring a team; performing banking functions and financial reporting; managing inventory; building and maintaining effective professional relationships; and achieving a high level of customer service and satisfaction. Required qualifications include a HS diploma or GED, bachelor’s degree desirable; hands-on experience successfully managing a retail operation and team; experience working with budgets; strong collaboration, customer service and communication skills required; ability to lift/pull up to 50 lbs; must have the capacity to use stairs on a frequent and repetitive basis to move merchandise; must be able to pass a background check for access to federal data networks; must have a current driver’s license and proof of auto insurance. Compensation: $18.00/hour, plus our full benefits package, including medical/dental/life insurance, paid time off, store discount, and a retirement plan with a generous employer match. Responsibilities will include performing a variety of clerical and customer service related tasks associated with the stocking, merchandising and sale of products within the retail shop at the visitor center. S/he will interact with customers and visitors to answer general inquiries about the park, the region or specific products.
