An HSA is a tax-free way to save for qualified health care expenses. WNPA will fund each eligible employee’s (must be under 65 years of age) account with a lump sum of $500 each plan year. If an employee also wishes to contribute to the account, he/she may sign up for a per pay period payroll contribution, up to a tax-deductible contribution limit. Employees own their accounts, and balances roll over year after year and are portable if an employee leaves WNPA.

GROUP LIFE/AD&D INSURANCE

Eligibility: All employees who work at least one hour may enroll.
Eligible employees (must be 21 years of age or older) may defer a portion of their gross income on a pre-tax basis. They may defer up to the maximum allowance set by the IRS. After one year of eligible service, WNPA will match the employee deferral on a dollar-for-dollar basis, up to 8.33% of gross income for eligible employees (employees must work at least 1,000 hours in their work year). A full plan description is provided to all employees.

Employees who enroll may begin making contributions as soon as Vanguard has established an account for the employee. The employer match begins for eligible employees after one year of eligibility service. Employees are immediately vested in all funds deposited into their accounts.

WNPA offers 11 paid holidays per year: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. One floating holiday is also available for use at the employee's preference.
