October is National Archaeology months and Santa Monica Mountains is celebrating with Archaeology Day. Bring the kids for a day of arts and crafts! Dig up “fossils” in the hands-on dig box,throw an atlatl spear, watch flintknapping demonstrations, and see genuine local artifacts on display. Presentations by local archaeologists throughout the day.

Free event, free parking.

Presented by the National Park Service, California State Parks, and Western National Parks Association.
