Saguaro National Park West welcomes Sean Prentiss, author of Finding Abbey: A Search for Edward Abbey and  his Hidden Grave, for an author reading and book signing. Named “Best of 2015  Nonfiction,” Finding Abbey documents Prentiss’s quest to locate Edward Abbey’s final, unmarked and unknown, resting place. After Abbey, “The  Thoreau of the American West,” passed away in 1989, his friends, per Abbey’s request, buried his remains at an undisclosed location. Prentiss’s objective is  twofold; he sets out to find Abbey while also reclaiming his own Western roots.

Mr. Prentiss will do a reading from Finding Abbey with a signing afterwards. He is an assistant professor at Norwich University, where he runs the Norwich University Writers Series.
