National Parks Store: Tucson Traits—A Bit-O-History Book Talk

Presented by Dave Devine

Since it became part of the United States in 1854, Tucson and its diverse population have had an interesting time.

This has included enormous growth, a long period of racial disharmony, urban sprawl, and a tradition of disagreement. Covering these and other community trends, David Devine has recently published – Tucson: A History of the Old Pueblo from the 1854 Gadsden Purchase (McFarland).

Join Dave Devine in an interactive presentation as he reviews some of Tucson’s history and relates it to what is happening today. This is truly an opportunity to gain insight into the world around us and connect it to our past. Books are available from the author for $30 day of the event – cash or check please.

Presentations at 12 noon and 2 PM.
