A man, his van, and the national parks.
Monday, February 5
Join Mikah Meyer, the man “on a mission to invite people to the outdoors, be a new type of LGBT role model, and share all 417 national parks with the world,” for a fascinating talk about his journey, the parks, and life on the road! After losing his road trip-loving father to cancer, Meyer planned this route as a spiritual quest to honor him. Thanks to his speaking engagements and donations he receives along the way, Meyer is almost two years into his three-year journey to be the first person to visit all NPS sites in one continuous trip. In addition to being featured by NPR, the National Park Foundation, and NBC News, Meyer shares his adventures across multiple social media channels, hoping to inspire others, especially those in the LGBT community, to travel more and see all national parks have to offer. This event is an opportunity to directly support this one-of-a-kind project and Meyer’s advocacy for the national parks!
To request a reservation, please call 520-622-6014 during business hours beginning one week prior to the event.
