National Parks Store: Mrs. Wyatt Earp

Come discover a rarely seen side of the western icon!

This play tells the true story of love, adventure, secrets, and betrayals from the unique perspective of Wyatt Earp’s third wife, Josephine Sarah Marcus Earp. This beautiful middle-class Jewish girl from San Francisco was first the mistress and common-law wife of the sheriff of Tombstone before beginning her 47 year relationship with his political rival, Wyatt Earp. The 75 year old Sadie is a charming, controlling woman with a compulsion for gambling.

The show takes place in Sadie’s memory nine years after Wyatt’s death in 1938. Wyatt and Josephine Sarah Marcus Earp are buried together in her family plot where their headstone reads, “That nothing’s so sacred as honor, and nothing so loyal as love!” Come celebrate this sentiment and discover a rarely seen side of the western icon.

Performance at 12 PM only.
