Events_lg_CoyotesDr. Cecil Schwalbe and his wife, Carol, have named their home the Schwalbe Beast and Breakfast. For the past twelve years, Cecil and Carol have lived in the buffer zone just west of Saguaro National Park East, and they have spent many an hour observing the diverse and abundant wildlife that visit their backyard pond— native frogs and fish take residence in the pond, drawing natural desert predators into Cecil’s backyard banquet.

Join Cecil as he shares his observations on his wild backyard visitors. This presentation of slides and stories is the first in Dr. Schwalbe’s series, Living on the Edge. He will address the behavior and ecology of animals living on this edge of human civilization. This first installment will include a 5-year look at the same coyote pack, with a wealth of other observations from the entire dozen years. Cecil delivers astute observations with a warm sense of humor. Come be enlightened— and entertained.

Presentations at 12 noon and 2 PM.
