National Parks Store: Film—San Antonio Missions National Historic Park, The Alamo & El Camino Real

Presented by Bennett-Watt Entertainment

In this enlightening film, learn about the frontier missions established by Catholic religious orders to spread Christianity among local natives.

Each mission has a separate and intriguing history. Perhaps the most widely known of these is The Alamo, the site of the famous battle. Slightly less well known are the four missions built in the late 1700s—Concepcion, San Jose, San Juan Capistrano & Espada. These missions are active catholic parishes holding regular services today.  The El Camino Real fostered frontier settlement and development along its length from Louisiana through Texas to Mexico City, Mexico.

Don’t miss an opportunity to experience through film the development and preservation of these historic sites.

Showings at 12 noon and 2 PM.
