Geronimo’s legacy is of mythic proportion, but how do we separate the myth from the man? American Experience, television’s most-watched history series, presents Geronimo and the Apache Resistance. This documentary film is the story of a tragic collision of two civilizations, each with dramatically different views of the world and startlingly different views of each other. It tells the story of Geronimo, the Apache leader who fought the longest, becoming one of the most famous, feared, and misunderstood Indian warriors in our history. The film does what history has not done–it treats Geronimo with humanity and honesty.

Join us for a screening of this poignant film and discover the man behind the myth.
