Celebrate the NPS Centennial with WNPA’s Park-a-Month! February 2016’s Park is Casa Grande Ruins National Monument

Narrator Adam Beach takes you on a spirit-filled cinematic journey to explore the mystery and complexity of Casa Grande Ruins. Six southwestern tribes trace their ancestry back to the ancient ones who lived here; learn about this Sonoran Desert people’s farming community, their complex system of irrigation canals, and their great house.

Was the great house a ceremonial center, an observatory, or simply a trade center in a large group of villages? This film chronicles their history through story, studies, and reports by prominent archaeologists and anthropologists.
