America’s first superstar, William F. Cody, better known as Buffalo Bill, was a brilliant and imaginative entertainer. His show, Buffalo Bill’s Wild West, went through many changes (both to name and content), as it garnered the attention and admiration of millions around the world. Cody performed and met dignitaries, such as Queen Victoria and Pope Leo XIII, and his charisma helped attract other legends from the American West, including Sitting Bull, Annie Oakley, and Calamity Jane.

But who was the real Buffalo Bill?

This film provides a glimpse of the man, untethered and without the glitter and tinsel of show business. Pony Express rider, Union soldier, and Western scout, Beyond the Legend separates Cody the man from Buffalo Bill the myth and provides a historically-verified look at this frontier icon who helped shape the world’s view of the American West.

Showings at 12 PM & 2 PM.
