Tucson author and historian Jan Cleere leads a book talk about her amazing account of Louise L. Serpa.

Anyone who has ever stared down an angry bull coming full throttle across an arena, aimed right at your gut will understand why Louise Serpa adamantly (and frequently) uttered the adage that became her motto: “Never don’t pay attention!”

Tucson author and historian Jan Cleere leads a book talk about her amazing account of Louise L. Serpa, a New York society woman, who followed her passion west and became the first woman endorsed by the Rodeo Cowboys Association to venture inside the rodeo arena. Eye glued to the camera, nose buried in the dirt, Louise captured some of the most exciting and incredible photographs of rodeo action and loved every minute!

Presentations at 12 PM & 2 PM.
