Saturday, December 10
11 AM – 3 PM

Chiricahua National Monument is ready for the holidays! On Saturday, December 9 between 11 AM and 3 PM, enjoy an open house at historic Faraway Ranch, now decorated for the holiday season. Originally the home of Neil and Emma Erickson, this 1880s homestead became a popular guest ranch under the care of their daughter, Lillian, and her husband, Ed Riggs. Faraway Ranch is still filled with Erickson family items and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Park staff will be present to answer any questions about the Erickson family and Faraway Ranch.

Light refreshments will be served throughout the day in the visitor center, and all items in the park store will be 15% off. The store is run by Western National Parks Association.

There is no park entrance fee at Chiricahua National Monument and the guided tour is free.
