Historic Plants at Bent's Fort 1845 - 1846
Many travelers along the Santa Fe Trail wrote about the plants they saw along the way. The flowers pictured here were listed by Lt. J. W. Abert, of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and others as growing in the vicinity of the Fort in the 1840s. Click here to download.
